MacIntyre is an ancient clan from the West of Scotland, on the shores of Loch Etive and the district of Lorn in Argyll.
Our Clan MacIntyre crest is in a belt and buckle design and bears the clan motto "Per Ardua" which translates to through adversity.
The name MacIntyre (or Mac an t-Saoir in Scots Gaelic) means "son of the carpenter". Folk of Scottish heritage with the surname Wright often associate with Clan MacIntyre.
The design with a circular belt containing the crest of the clan chief, is traditionally worn by anyone associating themselves with the clan or by those with family names associated with Clan MacIntyre.
There is a small area on the reverse of the crest where up to 12 letters can be specified. These are printed raised from the surface (embossed), an effect impossible with engraving. There is also provision to add a small black and white image which will be translated into raised relief on the model. Click through to the Shapeways site to see previews of what your text and image would look like 3d printed.
If you need help creating an appropriate black and white image file, we would be happy to help, please contact us.
