Clan MacCallum is a Highland clan with ancestral lands in Argyll, particularly around Lochgilphead and Loch Fyne. The name MacCallum derives from the Gaelic Mac Ghille Chaluim, meaning “son of the servant of Saint Columba,” reflecting early ecclesiastical ties. Over time, the clan became closely associated with Clan Malcolm. The clan crest features a tower, symbolising strength, vigilance, and steadfast defence.
