Celtic3d Knotwork is our add-on for Blender that draws real Celtic interlace as solid 3D geometry. Set out a grid, place the breaks that shape the pattern, and the knot draws itself — strands weaving over and under, closing into loops, rebuilding as you edit. The patterns are constructed by George Bain’s method rather than traced from pictures, and every bundled pattern names the plate it follows. When it looks right, you export a file your 3D printer, laser cutter or CNC router can make: STL and OBJ for printing and milling, SVG in millimetres for the laser.
It comes in two editions. Knotwork Free is a complete tool — flat panels, borders and crosses, weave or carved relief, a base plate and every export, for personal and commercial work, with no card and no licence key. Knotwork Pro adds rings, cylinders and toruses, plus bevelled, tramline and custom strand profiles, for £25 / US$34 a year with three machines, updates and direct email support.
